I know there is still a lot of trapping to do this season, but plans are being made for our next Spring Fling, April 8, 2017 at the city park in Burkesville, KY. There will be primitive camping spots available for the night of the 7th, as well as a large building vendors can lock their wares in. If you want a room there are two motels in Burkesville; Riverfront Lodge 270-864-3300, The Alpine Resort 270-864-7100. Dale Hollow Lake State Park Lodge is about 25 minutes away 270-433-7431. We already have a list of demos started, going to try and focus on some off season needs every trapper should attend to. I will post the list when we get it fleshed out a little more.
I will definitely be there unless I'm six feet under. I'm doing a poor man's lure making demo. No I AM NOT a lure maker but I know a few things that can get you started if you think 20.00 is just too much for four ounces of lure and you want to catch them on something you make yourself. Castor is the thing you must have and all other things come later. Save your castors and I'll show you how to fix them for many uses.

Dennis, let me know if you need any help setting up. I live in Barren county right off of 90 so it is a quick trip over there. I can also round a small crew of college students up. If you need another demo I could do one also.

I'll be arriving on friday afternoon staying at the Alpine lodge if you guys want a hand with anything. Gave me a 10% military discount which was nice. Also be scouting for an upcoming smallmouth trip to Dale Hollow if anyone has some advice. Never fished it 👍
