Catching up on things – last deadline fell short of the Fall Fling – so a quick report is in order.
The Paris Kentucky meet was one of our better ones.
We had a great location, good turnout, good demos, youth activities, food, vendors, decent weather, and successful fundraising thanks to the generosity of the membership and our dealers who were present.
We thank Furbearer Specialist, Laura Palmer of KDFWR and new commission chairman Rich Storm for being with us and answering questions. We thank the family members of Jim Ferguson and Robby Hoover who were inducted into the UTK Hall Of Fame. This was surely one of the highlights. We also thank Jeremy Taulbee for organizing a great meet in a good location. The best thing to do so as to not miss anyone – is to thank each of you who played a part in making this happen.
Trapping season is now underway. A bunch of us are looking forward to the Beaver Brigade program, NOV. 25 thru Dec. 2. We’ll report on that as soon as possible. I hope everyone has an enjoyable and safe season. Don’t worry about fur prices – have fun, experiment, take a new person trapping….”smell the roses”
I also want to wish each and everyone one of you a very Merry Christmas and a great 2019!
