Colt I really enjoyed your article you did a fine job and represented KY well. I sure hope you continue to write more. And your Daughter is so precious in that picture...memories that last a life time in that one picture
Question for you. It looks like you have that trigger on the 1st notch not the second and I believe you reference that in your article, is that because of tension on the trigger hate to be stupid but if a person doesn't ask they can't learn or understand.
Yes its a tension thang I always use the first notch sometime in heaven current i go to the second or third. You wouldn't thank it would make that much difference but it does. On a side note one time I made a baited type set with a bilise 160 I was havein a tuff time getting it stabilized and finally got it solid with a chew stick wedged between the jaw corners and down through the spring. Enyhow that trap set empty for about 3 days I didnt have to walk all the way over to look at it. The bank there was full of coon and mink tracks. After the 3rd emty check i though ok somethings up so I looked a lot closer. It looked like i75 coon and no k tracks going through my trap and no fish not even a scale was left. Long story short that stick wedged in the corner had jumped the tension up to Lord know what I couldn't set of the trap with a stick I bet it had 20lbs on it. That was a looped trigger too. It don't take much of the right kind of pressure Colt
