Ive always wanted to kill a bear with my bow ive seen several, and I have found sign but always where there is no season or outta state or where I can't hunt. Mostly in the summer breeding run there was a big bear in some trash cans down river from me about a month ago and this past weekend a young bear 2 ridges north east of me. Id love to see 1 in the timber while hunting. Thought id ask you folks in the southern end if you know where on public land a feller might get a look at 1. I know theres alot of public down there, but I wondering more specific maybe where you seen some or some sign while out and about in the fall. Of course if you guys hunt um I'm not asking for your places and id prefure you just PM me. Ive hunted in cumberland County and around lake cumberland, clay and Perry counties but its been a few yrs and that was before we had enough bears for a season! Eny tips on a good starting place would be great! Colt
I wish I could put you right on one. We see mainly travelers this time of year and few residenters here. I think Bell, Harlan and Letcher have them year round. I’d call John Hast at KDFWR. He knows where they’re at.

There was a bear caught on video on the uk campus last night. Saw the video on the evening news. Seen a coyote near the football stadium one morning and a deer in downtown Cincinnati once but a bear in the middle If lexington is crazy.
Im in jessamine been 2 on video last month 1, 2 miles south west 1, 1 mile north east of my house. On the videos they look to be differnt sizes and different bears? Feller 1 ridge over said he saw 1 about 3 weeks back. He drinks and there was 3 black calves missing from another guy at the time. But he said it was 30 yards bear? But the other 2 was for sure. Its always exciting seeing new game in the area! Always Colt
