UNITED TRAPPERS OF KENTUCKY PRESIDENT’S REPORT MARCH 2021
Just a quick report this month so as not to duplicate Steve’s excellent and detailed report of the UTK Fur Auction at Central City, March 13th.
It was a risky but great idea which will not only blossom into improved markets for our trappers, but grow the membership of United Trappers of Kentucky. That will result in strength in numbers, new leaders with fresh ideas, and something we all can share an interest in, together.
This first auction was a success beyond our cautious expectations. So successful, in fact, that we are planning to have 2 next year – one in the east and one in the west part of the state, for our trappers to market their fur with reduced travel time.
There are too many volunteers to thank without missing someone. All Kentucky trappers owe each of you a thank you for helping to open a much-needed marketing option.
