Ecclesiastes 3: 1 says there is a Season, and a time for everything, and as I sit on the back porch this evening, that thought has entered my mind. Summer is coming to an end, the Mornings and evenings are cooling down, the trees are starting to turn colors, and dropping their mast crops. The days are getting shorter, and Soon the Earth will start cooling down in our part of it, and the cycle of the hunters and the hunted will begin again with each one preparing for Winter in their own way! The howling of a coyote in the distance , along with the cool night air stirs something inside of me that has laid semi dormant for several months now, but , just like a visit from an old familiar friend, his presence brings a sense of satisfaction, and anticipation of new adventures , and familiar paths to be walked again; if only one more time! My hope, ...my prayer,... is that we are all granted many more seasons, and many more times around camp fires, tail gates , and coffee shop tables to forget the problems that are not of our own making, but instead, to relive glory days from the past, plan new adventures for the future, and enjoy old friends while they are still here to spend time with! May the coming season be the best time of our lives!
